The 2016 holiday season is nearly upon us,  and with that comes frantic, last-minute shopping decisions. We know how hectic that can make things, so we have compiled a list of five tech items for less than $20 to help make your gift-giving a bit easier.

Without further ado, we present the TechInThe21st “Holiday 2016 – Tech Under $20” guide. Take a look!

Fantronics 7mm Endoscope, 3.5m – $16.99

We recently purchased this device to take a look at a few hard-to-reach spaces around the house, namely in between floors when running a few network cables, and under a concrete patio to see what kind of creature had started to burrow under it. The camera, while not the best when it comes to image quality, does offer adjustable LED lighting to see in low light areas, and has multiple attachments that can be installed to get an angled look or hook onto something. A simple Micro USB connection makes for easy attachment to your Android-based phone, and a free app gives you a live view of what the camera is seeing. Taking images is a breeze, thanks to the on-cord button. This is one of those tools you can’t live without and can’t believe how affordable it is.

AmazonBasics HDMI Cables – Various Prices

If you weren’t aware, Amazon has an in-house brand of products known as “AmazonBasics”, offering up a plethora of common household items at great prices. Sure, you can get great cables from MonoPrice, and we recommend you take a look at their offerings as well, but the AmazonBasics cables include the wonderful Prime shipping experience, along with the AmazonBasics Lifetime warranty. We have used the AmazonBasics HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB cables with great success, and have always been impressed with their build quality. If you need a cable for it, chances are AmazonBasics has it.

AmazonBasics AA Batteries, 48-pack – $12.49

Next up is another AmazonBasics product. This time around, we are recommending their battery offerings. Amazon offers a 48-pack of AA batteries for less than $13, and they can be even cheaper if you add them to your Subscribe and Save list. Have you looked at what batteries cost in retail stores? Yeah, they are expensive. You can look to spend anywhere from $13 to $20+ for the same number of batteries, and sometimes an even smaller quantity, depending on brand. With the holiday season ramping up, having a good stock of fresh batteries for all of the new toys and gadgets is a must, and AmazonBasics has you covered.

Raspberry Pi Zero – $5

A great way to get started with the Raspberry Pi ecosystem, the Pi Zero offers a 1Ghz single-core CPU, 512MB of RAM, mini HDMI connectivity, and USB On-The-Go ports. While it may not be the best gift for your nephew who is “good with computers”, it is a great stocking stuffer for any experienced tech enthusiast. There are a zillion things the a Pi can be used for, and at just $5, this is a no-brainer.

Google Cardboard – $15

Sure, VR and AR are all the rage right now, with HTC and Oculus offering flagship experiences, to console and mobile vendors offering slightly more budget-friendly solutions. If spending $800 on a top-tier solution, and having a PC capable of supporting it, isn’t up your alley this holiday season, take a look at Google Cardboard. As its name suggests, Google Cardboard is a cardboard VR viewer that utilizes your Android smartphone as the display. While there are multiple viewers over varying quality and feature sets available at multiple price points, Google’s solution is available for just $15.
